The driver is charged with homicide and that family is suing Tesla too. Tesla IS SUED for Lemon Law and many other fraud charges. (EXAMPLE 22) Many published reports, some contracted by Tesla, to see how to market to rich guys, and others produced by independent psychodynamics research groups have found that Tesla drivers are more unstable than most other drivers. State & federal disclosures do show that Tesla’s investors did contribute heavily to Feinstein and her campaigns, some were even appointed to federal commissions. There is a very definite, quantifiable set of trackable metrics that do seem to indicate that there was some sort of quid-pro-quo. Press releases and news stories can be found that do show that Feinstein staff and contractors subsequently went to work for Tesla and Solyndra. GAO and OMB records, and public statements by Tesla staff, do show that Tesla had it’s loan cash participation fee waived in a “special arrangement” by Steven Chu. FACTCHECK: When we look at campaign disclosure statements (EXAMPLE 32) and public filings and cross reference those with the identities of the investors who benefited from the real estate exclusives, exclusive tax waivers, credits, tax write-offs, stock enhancers and free rides and cross reference that cumulative list with the contributors to elected officials since 2007, in California and Washington, The list has an odd mix of being almost the same people in the final overlay. We rate this as: PROBABLY TRUE, FURTHER INVESTIGATION REQUIRED.
– The head of the NHTSA (Strickland) Tesla investigation quit because of increased scrutiny. The facts, such as these, demonstrate that Tesla and Fisker never should have passed any NHTSA safety review. FACTCHECK: The Head of the NHTSA Safety investigation agency, Eric Strickland, did resign 48 hours after he received this document from SOMO reporters: TESLA SAFETY REPORT! Other articles have stated that Consumer Reports positive reviews and Yelp positive reviews “can be purchased, given enough money”. We rate this as: MAYBE, FURTHER INVESTIGATION REQUIRED.
