Overwhelming Majority of Americans Believe Both Parties Are Too Corrupt to Change Anything

Overwhelming Majority of Americans Believe Both Parties Are Too Corrupt to Change Anything … “This, In Fact, Is A Revolution”

George Washington's picture

We’ve previously noted that polls show that Americans are in a “pre-revolutionary” mood, that less than 1 in 5 Americans think that the government has the “consent of the governed”, that government corruption tops the list of Americans’ fears (gee, we wonder why), and that 3 times as many Americans supported King George during the Revolutionary War than support our OWN Congress today.

You might assume that such statements are over-the-top … or that the results come from partisan pollsters.

But a  group of Republican and Democratic pollsters and political strategists reviewed polling data last week, and revealed some stunning results:

  • 84% of all Americans believe political leaders are more interested in protecting their power and privilege than doing what is right
  • 81% percent believe the power of ordinary people to control our country is getting weaker every day as politicians of both parties fight to protect their own power and privilege
  • 80% believe the federal government is its own special interest primarily looking out for itself
  • 79% of all voters believe we need to recruit and support more candidates for office, at all levels of government, who are ordinary citizens, rather than professional politicians and lawyers
  • 78% believe that the Democratic and Republican Parties are essentially useless in changing anything, because both political parties are too beholden to special interests to create any meaningful change
  • 76% of Americans agree with the statement that America cannot succeed unless we take on and defeat the corruption and crony capitalism in our government
  • 75% believe that the US government is NOT working for the people’s best interest
  • 75% believe that powerful interests have used campaign and lobbying money to rig the system for themselves
  • 74% see the biased and slanted coverage of the media as part of the problem
  • 72% of Americans believe the U.S. has a two-track economy, where most Americans struggle every day, where good jobs are hard to find, and where huge corporations get all the rewards
  • 72% believe that the reason families in our middle class have not seen their economic condition improve for decades and economic growth is stalled is because of corruption and crony capitalism in Washington
  • 71% believe our government is not only dysfunctional, it is collapsing right before our eyes
  • 70% believe the government in Washington does not govern with the consent of the people
  • The majority – 56% – say they wish there were a third party with a chance of success to fight for their interests
  • Only 15% say the “values and principals of my political party are so important that I strongly prefer to vote for the candidates of my party…”

They concluded:

The country [is] in a prerevolutionary moment.

***

This election could mark the beginning of the end of two-party duopoly in the United States.

***

The people believe the real struggle for America is not between Democrats and Republicans, but between mainstream America and the ruling political elites of incumbent politicians, lobbyists, big business, big unions, big banks, big special interests and the big media. [The people are correct.]

***

The power elite asks, “When will this be over?” Although this is seen as a chaotic and temporary situation by most of the political and media establishment, our research shows a strong, evolving tidal wave of discontent and growing pressure for real and dramatic change.

***

Real change is what that the establishment fears most and fights hardest against. It is ultimately a losing battle.

***

This, in fact, is a revolution.

GW … good stuff. If I may point out … missing from the article is the FED. How many people are aware that the establishment fears of change / revolution are fears for disaster awaootng the sico-economic fabric of the US because of FED policies. Not that the slow boat to disaster today will cntnue to stay off of the rocks. Fed policies are the only reason that Congress has been able to fund illegal immigration of tens of millions,  and legal immigration designed to flood the US with tens of milluions of non white, low skill people, from violent societies.

Excatly how has this immigration policy “helped” the US or Europe? By any western measure it has been a complete and very expensive failure. Violent crime is 300% higher, Fed Gov deficits are 1000% higher, middle class gone, Trust in socio-economic fabric gone. Who, other than the dead KennedyTed, has been pushing for this policy and what votes in Congress have funded it?

Yeh see this type of research would be really helpful. We already know, at least viscerally, the whole thing about a unpopular Congress and 2 party oilgopoly stuff.

I am out of the loop so had to do a quick search.  Well, I hope to be able to access every comment I every placed in this file cabinet and chronologically do exactly that, kiddo. I am a character worth portraying in the movie and for approximately 10 years, right after HOL, errr AOL chat rooms (I Need Advice and Rich Handsome Millionaires), I began to see a trend.  Individuals were coming into threads, chat rooms, comment sections and wrecking havoc for 1 hour or less and then splitting.  New SN.  Coordinated.  Disruptive.  Shut the conversation down.  It was like clock work and on every thread and every day but one.  Friday.

The bankers were the only people that Jesus used violence against in the Bible. In fact, he kicked the crap out of them.

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying  and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’[a] but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.

Divided by who is “with us and who is against us” most probably.  No citizen of their country would intentionally do this.  Imagine if one would look deeper, the one hundred decades of maneuvering themselves into position for this day also included strategic moving, politicians with assumed identities, rascalism within Chambers of Commerce and City Council meetings which would cause the Italian Mafia look like super heroes, corporate-level cronyism, bribes, oh..it’s all there.  A goddam movie.  So there are members of each agency who are against this and there are those who are for it.  And you can bet your bottom dollar on the People Who are Against This dissolution of their nation are being set up to be silenced.  I hope everyone is watching.  Element of surprise is essential during a robbery.

Insolvency, bankruptcy, default……then & only then will there be sufficient “clatter” to rouse the populace into the kind of fervor to take to the streets, akin to the French Revolution. Line Pennsylvania Ave. with guillotines & start chopping off the politician’s phuking heads. It appears that unnecessary wars are insufficient to get the folks wee wee’d up to the point necessary to do anything, maybe they’ll get the picture when the FSA is in the streets because their EBT’s won’t swipe & the various forms of public assistance stops….then they won’t eat (useless eaters anyway) & bloody hell will break loose. Come on Capt’n, let it happen!!!!

Après nous le déluge” The American revolution succeeded because it was a revolution that was planned and had a framework for what was to come. In short a revolution led by adults as opposed to a teenage rebellion against structure with no idea of what to do afterwards. The French revolution is an example of the teenager rebellion, when structure was gone it spun out of control and got very ugly quickly.

I hope that when the time comes we have exceptional leaders who can reign in the inevitable chaos.

You Americans seem to think you won the USA in a raffle.  The problem isn’t regional, it is individuals in power who have coerced the system in order to get there and have ulterior motives.

http://www.mountvernon.org/site/animated-washington/winter-patriots/

Prime real estate describes the USA.  And you are bickering about issues while the place burns do the ground.

Here is an American hero I’d die for, and I am a goddam Canadian.  George Washington.

“George Washington “….(decision was) based on strategic motivation, understanding that the Continental Army desperately needed a victory after months of intense fighting with several significant defeats and no major victories. Washington also understood that the element of surprise was the only way that he and his army stood a chance of defeating the highly trained Hessian mercenaries.

On the morning of December 25, 1776, Continental soldiers woke up in their camps along the Delaware River to a frozen, snowy covered ground. Weather conditions worsened and temperatures continued to drop throughout the day.  Washington kept almost all of the details of the crossing a secret; as a result, none of the soldiers knew anything about their upcoming mission.

Time was Washington’s greatest enemy; to combat it his orders called for the various regiments to assemble at their designated crossing points no later than sunset. The close proximity to the crossing points allowed the soldiers to begin the journey immediately after nightfall struck and complete the crossing no later than midnight. Once across, Washington intended for the armies to reassemble and march approximately ten miles to Trenton, arriving there no later than five o’clock in the morning to achieve surprise. Despite his meticulous planning, the schedule failed almost before it even began. (Map: Battle of Trenton)

Many of the regiments did not arrive at the river until well after dark. Additionally, a severe winter storm that included wind, rain, snow, hail, and sleet met the soldiers at the banks of the river significantly slowing their crossing.

Many of the boats had to combat ice jams and unfavorable currents. To make matters even worse, the extreme darkness caused by the storm made it hard for the boatmen to see the opposite shore.

The necessity of using larger ferries to carry pieces of artillery across the river caused even more delays. Washington crossed the river with John Glover’s Marblehead mariners and upon arrival debated whether or not to cancel the entire operation because it was more than three hours behind schedule. Washington decided it was too costly to retreat and he painfully watched as his army continued to trickle across the river.”

+1, both of you

Indeed, a cry for “Revolution! Revolution!” without a plan is nothing else then something resembling teenager rebellion

Meanwhile, George Washington’s meticulous planning did indeed go awry, but that’s normal, on a battlefield. not having meticulous planning is not an option, nevertheless

On a local level, the DA investigated a local school board for violations of the PA Sunshine Act (transparency and open meetings to public.)  The DA determined that they did violate the law, but that there was no intention to do so, so they closed the investigation.  A week later, a whistleblower recorded a conversation with the president of the school board, the other members and the solicitor where they were still conspiring to circumvent the law and keep deliberations out of the public eye.

No word from the DA at all.  I sent several emails demanding that criminal conspiracy charges be filed, no response.  I’m ready to try to gather some local residents, attend the next school board meeting and place them all under citizen’s arrest.  When the DA refuses to uphold the law, than the people must do their duty to uphold justice.

The problem with this country is that there is no longer any rule of law, only the color of law.

Here’s a quasi statistical observation: Yesterday on the Kerry/Lavrov thread I started throwing in comments about POTUS 2016 candidate Dr. Jill Stein. I avoided mentioning her party because that knee-jerks the idealouges that can’t see anything said if it’s gaaaarrrrrreeeeen. The topics brought up in the long thread lent themselves easily to inserting Dr. Jill’s platform, and was a great way to interupt the endless D/R debating.ie:

wanna tell the Sauds and Isreal to get stuffed? -Dr. Jill

wanna woman for POTUS? – Dr. Jill

wanna close foreign mil bases? – Dr. Jill

wanna talk to the Russians? – Dr. Jill

wanna end wars for oil? – Dr. Jill

think the trillion dollar student debt is a problem? – Dr. Jill

wanna end the D/R stranglhold? –

etc etc.

the interesting thing is I got WAY more upvotes than I ever ever do. Personally, it’s her goal of 2030 for emmisions targets that stands out in the post-Paris 2050 crowd.

So it would seem the Zero Hedge voters, at least the ones not watching ‘the big game’ are more aligned with The Green Party than they realize…

Of course, having studied the writings of Radical Marijuana for two solid years, and, after experiencing first hand those savvy politicos at OWS that argued vehemently AGAINST the National General Assembly proposed for July 2012 in Philadelphia, the purpose of which was to send two elected reps from each district (one m one F) as delegates to draft the petition for redress of grievences, where the failure for satisfactory redress would turn those delgates into CHALLENGERS in 2014 …

Yup. This is why Trump is doing so well.  The PERCEPTION by a lot of voters is that this is their chance to fist fuck “the system” that has fisted them for the last 30+ years.  Democrats SUCK and sold us out.  Republicans SUCK and sold us out.  So it matters not what silly label Trump is running under, the PERCEPTION is that he’ll get in there and do the “you’re fired”.

The tumor that is Government has grown too big and has it’s cancerous tentacles so far into every capillary structure of the general population that it is sucking the life blood out of the host.  Gov only knows one thing, to get bigger, cell by cell, take over the host until it squeezes the life blood out of the rotting carcass that is the general population.  Gov exists to feed on the host and metastasize.

There’s no amount of chemo/radiation that will fix this fukker now.  Take a short walk off to the sidelines and let it do a big faceplant on the pavement.  Then regroup and start locally.  Support any thing or person that has local communal interests and sustainability in the forefront.

sanders is funded by the little people and trump is self funded. the problem for sanders lies in the corrupt democrat super-delegate system. the problem for trump lies in the corrupt republican system here:

“In reality, the GOP nominating contest will be decided by an intricate, state-by-state slog for the 2,472 delegates at stake between February and June. And thanks to the Republican National Committee’s allocation rules, the votes of “Blue Zone” Republicans — the more moderate GOP primary voters who live in Democratic-leaning states and congressional districts — could weigh more than those of more conservative voters who live in deeply red zones. Put another way: The Republican voters who will have little to no sway in the general election could have some of the most sway in the primary.”

“the single party (corporate party) politburo has taken complete control.”

Happened a looooong time ago:

Shortly after the [American] Civil War a group of men formed a selfish plan to rule the world by the manipulation of finances.”

Remedy has been attempted by alternately shifting one to the other of the old political parties. It has been done so many times without substantial benefit that it has become a farce. Voters must realize that the old party leaders shout the ideals the people had in the original formation of the parties. Party leaders do this for propaganda purposes only. They proclaim good, and do evil.” – quotes from The Economic Pinch – Charles Lindbergh Sr. [1859 – 1924]

I spent 33 years and four months in active military service as a member of our country’s most agile military force – the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from second lieutenant to Major General. And during that period I spent more of my time being a high-class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism.”

A self proclaimed uebermenschen is a sheeple stupidity. Selecting a political party, or a sports team, for perpetual adoration is socially acceptable, but morally insanity. It feels great, that you oppose the status quo, but it’s ineffective. An elite is you’re foolishly tolerating an uebermenschen.

I doubt; therefore I think; therefore I reject conformity to your rules. “Power corrupts.” We live in a multi-dimensional world. Only two parties accepts a Hegelian dialectic. Wake up; there are four dimensions in the physical world: three physical dimensions and time. In the intellectual world, who decreed only two dimensions? In thought, or politics, or relationships, or anything, who decreed only two dimensions? I live in as many dimensions, as I comprehend.

Did you know that key federal employees (police, intelligence, security etc)  do not have their cars registered through state DMV databases? There is a fed program that registers those vehicles and provides local plates.

Try running a license plate on your neighbor who works for the FBI and see what happens.  If your lucky you will get “result not found”. If your not lucky you will soon be talking to a federal employee.

I call bullshit on the hacker story until the very moment I am able to download that list. A link please….?

“To conclude the wealth of the western powers like France, America, and Great Britain was based on slavery and genocide. Today this same process continues and Ironically as the UN revealed recently slavery is on the rise worldwide. Meanwhile with the end of the civil war in the United States they put an important loophole in the abolition of slavery allowing it for prisoners. Prison Labor is a massively growing sector of the american economy and just as the great fortunes of the 18th and 19th century were tied to slavery todays multinational corporations are deeply invested in the growth of the mass incarceration state. Of course it would take a whole new article to describe the companies involved big names like McDonalds and Goldman Sachs. Slavery didn’t end like they told us in school. Slavery is on the rise! Latin American workers in the US have become major new victims. There is no crime that capitalism will not commit if it creates a few percentage points of profit. Until Capitalism is abolished the world will never know an end to war, slavery, genocide, imperialism, exploitation and poverty.”

Look at the future kiddos.  All the rest is window dressing.  Slavery was convenient but needed money to input.  Serfdom puts the poverty onto the “slaves”.  Seems like slavery is not profitable?  So WHAT TO DO?  Import wage slaves.  Crush the population.  Crush the unions.  Attach to the tit of gov. THEN temove it (like Greece).

There is NO need in humanity for Central Banking,  For IMF,  For BIS.  No reason for billions of productive people to hand over wealth to “hookers and blow psychopaths”

OUR life on this planet, our home.  It is being raped. RAPED.

Time to stand up kids.  Enough charts and shorting strategies AND playing casino games.  Time to bring out awareness and jail cells.  Time to let the Banks go bankrupt.  Time to dismantle and charge the hubris levered fortunes that produce nothing. That have produced nothing but theft for planned centuries.  That do nothing but abuse.

Time to say Bye Bye to the Vatican bank. To the long gone monarchies that hold sway.  I know it is wonderbar to watch Downton Abbey BUT this is part of the plan….To the whole frigging thing that holds back humanity.

TPP is complete and utter compitualtion to serfdom.  TPP wil give over every single decision on life to monied interests.

It will take the world back into slavery with a price;  that is serfdom with no option.  Multinationals will contol the world.  And when you look at multinationals we look at very few shareholders.

So Canadian water?  Already being sued by some LLC for trying to maintain rights.  “How dare BC limit export of a back-door LLC?  How dare Canadians claim rights over our resources?  After all we elected a photo-op idiot.

AND apparently the democratic opinion of Canadians who have rejected pipelines over the Rockies is now in question.

CHINA wants to own the tar Sands with the caveat of destruction.  Deals hinge on Canadians bowing to the destruction of their country.  Destruction of salmon, Grizzly, Snow Bear, Native heritage claims/destruction of pristine flora and fauna.

Destruction of life for money.

But hey ho.  We got Trudeau II.  Trudeau I  got duped on the banking BS.  Now we got smiley coif Trudeau II who is so bought off (or completely duped by stupidity).

What will not work

1) Attempting to have a constitutional convention while Congress and most state governments are run by the terminally corrupt DC controlled and globally funded parties. They ignore the constitution we have now, what good will amending it do?

2) Working within one of said organizations which has looted the country. They are resistant to reform. Many have tried, including me. The people that run them don’t want you to come in and take over their house, and they will change the rules at will, or ignore them, to keep control. Ron Paul effort showed that.

WHAT MIGHT WORK: Decentralized networks of citizens seeking out good candidates to run for local offices and state legislatures as independents or some state-based decentralized party. Make it so their is no heirarchy to capture. Here is an example.http://www.arneighbors.org/ There is simply no way Separation of Powers will work when state officials and federal officials are elected from the same club. It is an informal end run on the formal checks and balances that the founders set up.

That example is putting to work the third principle in Localism as a philosophy of government, which is a blue print to work toward. If we don’t know the tricks to centralize power then we can’t know how to stop them. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B0GACAQ

Because we’ve seen how well independents do, winning election after election.

Oh… never mind.

You may be thinking about President. Independents have won a number of local offices in my state and perhaps in yours as well. We don’t care about President. State legislature is  priority. There is no way they will stand up to the FEDS on a DC party label. IN these races, because the crooked Republicrats have gerrrymandered so much often times the Indepdendent is the second candidate.  I personally ran in 2012 and got 39% despite having a lot against me. Six others ran too. The response was for the Republicrats to change the law making it harder for independents to get on the ballot. Our lawsuit over that is due to be settled before long.

One of our goals is to force them to change the election laws so that there are run-offs in every election. That alone will allow people to vote for other options without fear of “splitting the vote” (which is why they imposed “first past the post” method in the first placce. To scare people out of voting their conscience. ). If we can recruit enough people to run they will do it- not for the public good but in their own self interest to avoid the instability.

A good rule would also be to stop with the idiotic idea that Ivy League fucksticks are somehow godddamned entitled to rule the rest of us.

Gotta shop on the outside ailes of the store to get the good shit. The inside is where all the junk food lives, dig?
