THE ATTKISSON HIT-JOB CASE, #189

Sharyl Attkisson Shows Government Hacking Her Computer

Investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson, a senior independent contributor to The Daily Signal, released video showing what she believes to be a hacker deleting data from her computer right before her eyes.

Attkisson began experiencing technological problems during her reporting of the 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, she writes in her new book, “Stonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obama’s Washington.”

One September night last year while Attkisson — then with CBS News —  prepped for an interview with Thomas Pickering, chairman of the Benghazi Accountability Review Board, she watched as information in a document began disappearing before her eyes. The information, she writes, was “deleted line by line in a split second: it’s gone, gone, gone.”

Attkisson  grabbed her nearby iPhone and used it  to record the disappearances.

The data wipe occurred, Attkisson writes, as White House spokesman Eric Schultz and then-White House Press Secretary Jay Carney were “steaming over my Benghazi reporting.”

After the breach, Don Allison, a security specialist at Kore Logic, examined Attkisson’s iMac. Upon doing so, she writes in “Stonewalled,” Allison found “key evidence of a government computer connection” to her laptop. (1)

Here before our very eyes is a vivid demonstration to what lengths the Obama Administration will go to squash dissent. Remember the phone taps of reporters? The NSA spying on innocent Americans? The desire of the Administration to put “overseers” in TV newsrooms? The IRS attack on Conservative groups?

Obama signed into law Bill HR 347 that makes free speech a felony where secret service agents are present.

FOX: “HR 347 gives federal agents sweeping powers to arrest and bring felony charges against citizens engaged in protest where the secret service is present.”

Andrew Napolitano:

This “allows secret service agents to decide where there are no free speech zones”.

“I can think of three violations: a) speech violations, b) association violations, c) the right to petition the government for a redress of you grievances. What good is free speech if the people in the government are so far away from you that they can’t hear you?”

“I think it is one of those laws that’s going to be enforced where the government wants to enforce. The problem there.. it puts a lot of unbridled discretion in the hands of secret service agents… That’s suppressing speech on the basis of its content and that has been expressly prohibited by the First Amendment since Day One.” – http://reagancoalition.com/articles/2012/20120322010-obama-protest-bill.html
